We are BEYOND excited to get ready for a BHL Hurricanes swim season this year. We are doing things a bit differently this year as we hopefully get out from under COVID-19 life. The Operating Procedures document attached below explains this year’s rules (which may change as we get closer to the swim season) and outlines the revised practice/meet schedule. As you will see, we will hold two meets in which we will swim against our own team, not other teams. Even with this change to meets, we think this summer will be an opportunity for your swimmers to grow as swimmers and have a terrific time as part of the BHL Hurricanes!
Below is the link to the online registration through active.com. We will NOT hold in person registration. Registration is OPEN NOW and will be open for the next month. BHL Residents will be given first priority for registration regardless of when they register. For non-BHL Residents, we will give priority to those who swam with us in past years, then new swim families in the order in which they register. We hope to be able to allow all registered swimmers to swim with us; we will refund the registration fee if we can’t.
As we approach the season, we will send additional information on the volunteers needed (we will most likely still require one volunteer shift per swimmer) and scheduling of a mandatory parent meeting. We will not order team suits so any suit your swimmer is comfortable in wearing will work.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to Nicole Quathamer at [email protected] Again, we want this to be a fun, safe, and developmental season for all of our swimmers. We hope to see you all on the pool deck soon!
